My Name Is Rachel Corrie (Theatre Delicatessen, 2019)

★★★★★ - THE SHEFFIELD REVIEWER

“My Name Is Rachel Corrie at Theatre Deli in Sheffield was extraordinary. One of the most important stories I’ve ever seen shared on a stage“
John J Tomilson, Producer at Sheffield Theatres

My Name is Rachel Corrie is a powerful and deeply moving one-person play that chronicles the final months of activist Rachel Corrie’s life in Palestine in 2003. Based on Corrie’s own diary entries, emails, and testimonies, the script was originally compiled and edited by Alan Rickman and Katharine Viner in 2005. The play presents an unfiltered, intimate portrait of a young woman driven by an unshakable belief in justice, offering audiences a raw and personal insight into her experiences on the frontlines of one of the world’s most enduring conflicts.

Told in Rachel’s own words, the play traces her journey from an idealistic college student in Olympia, Washington, to her time as a volunteer in the Gaza Strip, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles of Palestinian families living under occupation. The production captures her passion, humour, and unwavering commitment to human rights, making her story resonate far beyond the theatre walls.
