The Petals of Ishfahan

£200.00

Part of Hassun El-Zafar’s limited geometric art series.

A geometric abstract art piece inspired by the Ishfahan rich artistic heritage. The city was once the capital of the Safavid Empire, which ruled Iran from the 16th to the 18th centuries and was a time of great artistic flourishing.

The warm pink hues of the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque's stained glass windows have been incorporated into the piece, using colour blocking techniques and geometric shapes to create a sense of depth and vibrancy. The use of symmetry and repeated patterns could evoke the ornate and repetitive details found in Isfahan's architectural and artistic treasures.

The final composition could be a modern interpretation of the city's rich artistic heritage, using geometry and abstraction to showcase the unique beauty and complexity of Isfahan's art. The piece is a celebration of the city's history and heritage, offering a new perspective on its rich artistic legacy.
